Complete day by day itinerary
Day 1 | Outbound
Board your flight from the UK to Colombia. Arriving into Bogota, you will be met and transferred to your hotel, a wonderfully unpretentious, Art Deco style property that has been carefully renovated. Casa Deco Hotel will be your base for the next few nights, just 6 minutes’ walk from the art exhibits at Museo Botero and a 10-minute stroll from Museo del Oro, one of the most visited highlights of any stay in Bogota. Enjoy the rest of your day at leisure.

Day 2 | Bogotá
After breakfast, you’ll get an in-depth overview of the city on your included walking tour. Start at Plaza Bolívar called Plaza Mayor until 1821, previously Plaza de la Constitución, the heart of the historical part of the city and surrounded on all four sides by impressive historical buildings like the Liévano Palace. Your guide will walk you through the narrow streets of Candelaria, lined with small shops selling emeralds and handicrafts, past casual eateries serving traditional dishes like ajiaco and show you the best of what this neighbourhood has to offer.

Day 3 | Bogotá - Zipaquira
After breakfast at your hotel, you’ll depart to Zipaquira, a little village that has become one of the most visited destinations from Bogota because of the unique, underground Salt Cathedral - a former salt mine that has been converted into a Roman Catholic cathedral by local and Colombian engineers. After taking in this novel underground place of pilgrimage, you’ll continue to Zipaquira's historic centre for a traditional Colombian lunch, before returning back to Bogota.

Day 4 | Bogotá - Villa de Leyva
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before departing to Villa de Leyva, a beautiful colonial town frozen in the time. You’ll take a guided tour of the cobbled alleys, colonial houses, The Plaza Mayor, the ‘Mud House’ built by Colombian architect Octavio Mendoza, and the Museum of Palaeontology. Enjoy the oasis of peace and calm in the beautiful garden at the ancient Monasterio del Santo Ecce Homo before being taken back to Bogota.

Day 5 | Bogotá - Armenia
After breakfast, check out of your hotel and you’ll be transferred out to the airport for your flight to Armenia, a slow-paced pueblo in coffee region framed by the Andes mountains. You’ll be met on arrival and transfer to Combia Coffee Farm for your three-night’s stay. Enjoy the rest of your day at leisure.

Day 6 | Armenia
After breakfast on the farm, you’ll have the opportunity to experience Combia Coffee Inspirations and enjoy the traditions of the ground of coffee on your included tour of the farm. Your senses will be stirred by the spectacular scenery, the unforgettable aroma of the earth, the taste of the coffee and the bounty produced due to the elements of nature. Enjoy the rest of your day at leisure.

Day 7 | Armenia - Salento - Cocora - Filandia
Fuel up on breakfast at the farm before heading out to the Cocora Valley, home to the palma de cera (wax palm), the towering national tree of Colombia that grow up to 60m tall. In a country full of beautiful landscapes, Cocora is one of the most striking. Enjoy lunch amid the misty green hills protected as part of UNESCO’s Coffee Cultural Landscape of Colombian Heritage before continuing to quaint Salento one of the oldest towns in Quindío, and slow-paced Filandia Town that has some of the best-preserved paisa architecture in the region.

Day 8 | Armenia - Medellín
After your last breakfast on the coffee farm, you’ll check out and be transferred to the airport for your flight to Medellin. Medellin is a striking hillside metropolis that is as much fun as a city twice its size, and its pleasant climate gives it its nickname – the City of Eternal Spring. On arrival you’ll be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 9 | Medellín
Enjoy an early breakfast at your hotel before embarking on your panoramic city tour of Medellin’s highlights, visiting the Cerro Nutibara, Parque de los Pies Descalzos (Barefoot Park), Parque de los deseos (Park of Desires) and the magnificent bronze statues in Botero’s Sculpture Park. Hop aboard the aerial cable cars and enjoy spectacular views of the city and the ‘barrios’ below. Also visit the Plaza Cisneros’ Lights Park, San Juan Avenue and Golden Mile before returning to El Poblado.

Day 10 | Medellín - Cartagena
Today you’ll travel to Cartagena after breakfast. Check out of your hotel then you’ll be transferred to the airport for your flight. On arrival you’ll be met and transferred to your hotel by the beach with free time to settle in. At night board the Chiva Rumba, a colourful wooden bus that serves as typical transportation in rural Colombia, and ride through the UNESCO World Heritage-listed walled city to live music, before being dropped back at your hotel.

Day 11 | Cartagena
Holding its own against Brazil's Ouro Preto and Peru's Cuzco for the continent's most enthralling and impressively preserved historic city, Cartagena is hard to walk away from. After breakfast you have the day at leisure to explore Cartagena by daylight.

Day 12 | Cartagena - Rosario Island
After breakfast check out of your hotel and depart for the Rosario Island. Check into your hotel for the next two nights of pure Caribbean bliss. Enjoy full board during your stay.

Day 13 | Rosario Island
Today is a free day to enjoy the Caribbean island setting. Depending on where you stay, optional activities include a visit to Latin America’s largest aviary with over 170 bird species, a trip to the Oceanarium, go on a guided ecological walk of the island, tour the mangroves to discover Colombian Caribbean’s flora and fauna, go snorkelling or diving in Corales del Rosario Natural Park. If you just want to relax head to the spa for a treatment using local fruits and cocoa.

Day 14 | Rosario Island - Cartagena
This morning you have a free half day on the island to enjoy the optional activities before returning to Cartagena for your final night in Colombia. On arrival you’ll be transferred to your hotel where you can relax for the night near the beach or head into the Old Town to enjoy the nightlife.

Day 15 | Depart Cartagena
After breakfast check out of your hotel and you will be transferred to the airport to board your overnight flight back to the UK.
